Nurture & the Developing Brain

A course by

Course Overview

Babies are born ready to learn but their brains are more pliable and vulnerable than adults. Brain development begins at around 2 weeks after conception and doesn’t finish until young adulthood.

Acknowledging that nature is important, the type of nurture a baby receives has the most profound impact on how its brain develops. Nurturing a child by understanding their needs and responding sensitively helps to protect their brain from stress.

In this Refresher Session, we will discuss what is meant by nurture, how environmental factors influence the development of the brain and why missed opportunities during significant windows of development can create difficulties for children later in life.

**Participants will have access to the webinar for 90 days from the date of purchase.
